Shelford Taxis is a well-established, family-run taxi business, based in the Stapleford/ Shelford/ Sawston area and serving South Cambridgeshire. We pride ourselves on the quality of service we offer, and indeed, deliver.

Several months ago we acquired two new vehicles: a Skoda Octavia Classic 1.9 TDi to complement our existing Skoda Superb Classic (currently, two of the most popular cars in Europe )1.9 TDi and a Renault Traffic. The latter is an eight seater. This has enhanced our flexibility and capacity markedly.

The purchase reflected our confidence in the future of our taxi business, and our commitment to the comfort and safety of our passengers, which is paramount. The two new vehicles  are shown below.

Area Served (Prices on Request)

Local work: approximately 90% of all our journeys start or finish in Great Shelford or one of the neighbouring villages including Duxford, Teversham, Little Shelford, Abington, Linton, Whittlesford, Fowlmere, Hauxton, Harston, Foxton, Barrington, Comberton, Toft. (This list is just to give an idea of our usual range).

We cover Cambridge itself and north of the city including Willingham, Histon, Impington, Cottenham.

We can take on longer journeys (e.g. Glasgow) providing that we have at least 48 hours prior notice, for logistical reasons.

Courier work.

Specialities

Airport Runs . 'Drop off' & 'Pick -up'. We cover  the major airports in the South/ South-East of England including Luton, Stansted, Gatwick, Heathrow, City, East Midlands. Then taken home to the door- the total service.

School Runs. We have much experience of School runs and have had many contracts with the Local Education Authority. (Please note-All our drivers have had full CRB checks).

  We accept cash, or cheques. We also welcome Client  Accounts.
